Garden Statue

A garden statue can add a unique element of detail to your garden. A statue can create a feeling of elegance, whimsy, or personal affection, depending on what you are seeking to accomplish. There are a wide variety of garden statue models available, and you can find them in most gardening or home supply stores, or by looking online.

The garden statue is nothing new. These have been traditional for thousands of years, and in fact many people choose to implement them today because they carry a religious or spiritual meaning for them. These statues can be of religious figures, saints, or historical figures. This design technique is often done in public parks, but it is an option in your private garden as well. While garden statue replicas can be found pretty easily and quite affordably, some people seek out artists to create original work for their garden. A few even choose to design their own statues.

Additionally, sometimes garden statues are used to create more of a whimsical atmosphere. The garden gnome is one popular example of this. These gnomes are also seen as guardian statues, said to keep out trouble makers. This responds to a historical superstition which suggested that gardens were often inhabited by mischief-making faeries or other creatures after nightfall.
